At Teraoka Seiko Co., Ltd., we were using multiple free tools divided by purpose for the management and operation of approximately 140 router locations both domestically and internationally. To address the daily complaints of delays from users, we built our own means to quickly isolate problems. While this approach incurred no costs, the inherent difficulty of configuring free tools and the required skills made it challenging to secure personnel capable of viewing and operating the monitoring tools. As a result, almost one person was responsible for everything from analysis to maintenance of the monitoring tools. As the system continues to grow, we determined that it was urgent to break away from the reliance on specific individuals for monitoring tools. Therefore, we began searching for products that not only had additional features beyond our current monitoring methods but were also easy to operate.
